Hello, I’m Lisa Eaton an Experienced, Qualified Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor and my Private Practice is the Ocean Room at Broadstone Counselling.

I'm Lisa, a fully Qualified, Professional and Experienced Counsellor, Psychotherapist (CBT) and Supervisor. I have experience of working with Adults of all ages and Young People from 11 to 18 years on a one to one basis with a wide range of issues and symptoms related to mental health.

My aim in our counselling is to develop a therapeutic relationship, by gaining a non-judgemental perspective and insight of what life is really like for you.  I will offer you the opportunity to discuss your situation/problems with me in our session, in a warm, confidential, non-judgemental and neutral environment and I will listen to you in a way that may not have happened before.  Whilst exploring the root causes of painful and negative feelings and thoughts we will work together to help deal with difficulties which may enable you to move on from feeling stuck!

How I Work

I am a Person- Centred / Integrative Counsellor which means I can be flexible in how I work depending on your needs.  As a compassionate and engaging Person- Centred Counsellor, I believe that you have the ability to change as you learn more about yourself to rediscover your inner resources, enabling you to find your best way forward.  We can look at using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which looks at ways to change your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.  Introducing, using and practising Mindfulness with clients has helped them to reduce stress and anxiety.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and a member of the BACP Children and Young People Division which means I follow their Code of Ethical and Professional Conduct.
